FALSE! A lot more than 999 barrels of crude has spilled in the Gulf of Mexico from oil wells. Spill?, why there was even at least one huge blow-out that fouled the deep Gulf, and even a little of the coast of Texas, for many months.
If that blow-out would happen to CCO, a huge black ooze could cover Florida beaches from Naples to St George. Any
good for bare feet! Currents kept most of the blow-out away from Texas; currents would slam a CCO blow-out right into Florida. CCO also proved that it could not find crude onshore Florida, years ago.
