Mike:

"Public school supporters called the study biased. They noted that parents who send their students to Catholic schools are generally more committed to education and involved with their children.

Catholic schools can expel students much more easily, they pointed out, and Catholic schools also have limited special-education programs, which account for increasingly large portions of the budgets in public school districts."

The usual excuses from the educational establishment. I wonder when they last went to bat to make it easier to expel disruptive students, or to address the abuses in the special ed programs, or made an independent effort to ascertain why Catholic Schools do so much better. All they offer is excuses and tell us we should spend more to listen to their excuses. If they were a business they would be bankrupt.
Meanwhile, the kids suffer.
