Perhaps you misread the Bloomberg article. It might be a possible candidate, but your wording of

"JNPR being added to the S&P........"

is not quite correct. Here's what the article stated:

The Salomon Smith Barney analysts still see a switch in coming months, though, and suggest the following companies may join the index: Juniper Networks Inc., a maker of equipment used to direct traffic on data networks; electronic-commerce software maker BEA Systems Inc.; EBay Inc., the largest Internet auction site; package deliverer United Parcel Service Inc. and life insurer John Hancock Financial Services Inc.
