I got into Identix a bit later, and am patiently waiting for a commercial breakthrough. The competitive field, however, is finally beginning to thin a bit. There are rumors of one or two more competitors about to collapse. If you go to the Identix.com site you will find screens on itrust, which IDX is going to launch next month. It will be an authentication and network security ASP that doesn't rely on biometric hardware, although, obviously, IDX wants to sell its biometrics as part of the authentication scheme. MOT and VRSN are equity partners in itrust.
