brushwud,Well I think you take into consideration that Intel took in $1.684 billion from sales relating to the options so the cost of 4 billion is reduced. But I can’t understand why there is so much complaining in this forum with so many engineers about the cost of stock options in light of the tremendous growth of technology in the past 20 years. How many poor aspiring engineers were there in the 80’s who now are worth millions? Do you want to kill the goose? It is a catalyst for improvement and growth. The fact that it causes dilution, which should be rectified, is indicative of a successful company. By the way, do any of you AMDers have any dilution figures for AMD for the past few years and what about the debt that Jerry wants to convert too common. At any rate in my opinion if you want to invest in a technology stock for the future you better accept stock options as a fact of life. Otherwise buy a railroad stock!
