I'm at the JPMorgan/H&Q conference and it was interesting to hear Tom Siebel speak. No one should have been caught "without visibility." Siebel knew 6 wks before the spring quarter ended that they were seeing lots of push-outs and cancellations. Anyone with decent supply chain management systems would have had the same visibility. Some folks must be working with the equivalent of bubble gum and chicken wire.

As for a glut of bandwidth. Don't believe it. I'm getting 7200 kpbs connections here at the Westin St. Francis. Needless to say, I'm not signing on much. Heck, half the time I can't even get a connection.

Tomorrow the conference focuses on equipment manufacturers and fiber optics. It'll be a full day with lots to report. The first on the docket is Corning. Then JDSU. ALAO is on Thursday.

Celestica's CEO said they saw stability improving during the quarter. Says growth should return by end of year.

More when I have time.
