Jim,

The SDRAM bus on many parts is multiplexed. It multiplexes the A0~A11 lines for the row and column addresses. It also multiplexes some additional pins for control and sometimes it multiplexes the data lines as both input and output lines.

The Intel 8086 bus from the 1970's is multiplexed. It multiplexes the address and data lines. It multiplexes additional lines for control and it always multiplexes the data lines as both input and output lines.

Did Rambus invent that in 1990?

If the last $15 of this POS depends on your expert legal testimony, ........
