Scumbria, The Intel 8086 bus from the 1970's is multiplexed. It multiplexes the address and data lines. It multiplexes additional lines for control and it always multiplexes the data lines as both input and output lines. Did Rambus invent that in 1990? They didn't claim to have invented that, so why does everyone pretend that they did? It is significant because the judge has restricted Rambus' claims to devices using a multiplexed bus. SDRAM uses a multiplexed bus - even if the function is only used at startup. What is the problem with that? John
