Goldman Sachs Provides Research/New Issues for Order Flow The times, they are a changin... According to Wall Street Journal, Goldman Sach has reached an agreement with about a dozen regional brokerage firms to distribute its investment research and securities issues to Middle America... The move to attract relatively small retail investors is a depature for GS, which has historically shunned that part of the business... Regional brokerage firms won't pay Goldman a formal fee for receiving the research or securities offerings; but will execute trades through Hull Group and Spear Leeds & Kellogg, two market makers owned by Goldman.
