I wonder what the cost premium is to use a contract manufacturer? Assuming the transition can be accomplished in X number of months, what does that do to AMD's business model? They are saving capex expense, but what does it do to their new process development time? A contract manufacturer can't be a responsive as a company owned, dedicated fab?

What are the trade off's in this decision?
