American Power Conversion Awarded New York State Contract by the Office of General Services biz.yahoo.com WEST KINGSTON, R.I., May 2 /PRNewswire/ -- American Power Conversion (APC) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the State of New York Office of General Services to supply its extensive product offering including surge suppressors, uninterruptible power supplies (UPS), racks and enclosures and related management software to more than 200 New York state agencies. In addition, this contract enables APC to offer its products to New York municipalities, city and local governments, and all educational institutions.

This contract is active until February 2002 and then renewable every year for up to five years. In addition to New York, APC holds contracts with the states of Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Louisiana, Texas and California.
