people ought to know right off the bat that 8 times 5 is 40 You probably think that all folks are born with the same talents for math, or spelling, or names and dates. That's just not the way the mind is built to work. I see nothing wrong with standard tests when used to understand the talents of an individual. When the tests are used punitively it just serves to ensure that what talents an individual has will be ignored unless they fit the preconceived little view of the administrators. Nothing in Junior-George's proposals or that of his clown patrol indicate any attempt at using tests diagnosticly, the only purpose is to close down public schools to channel people and their money into religous indoctrination centers.
