Rosemary, sometimes these insiders buy their spouse/significant other and/or kids something spectacular and the $$$$ aren't in the bank account. Consequently, they need to dump some shares to raise the cash<g>. Also, sometimes insiders need to raise cash in order to take advantage of the stock options that accrue to them and, typically, these options can or must be bought by a certain date.

From a revenue perspective there doesn't seem to be too much concern with PC sales this year: 17%-19% growth is the number I see bandied aboot. If there is a slowing it's not in the corporate sector. Therefore, DELL is pretty well unaffected. CPQ and GTW is another story because of their exposure to the consumer segment. But that's just speculation.

At this juncture, I don't think we'll see a July drop-off in DELL share price as we did in June-July last year. The 2:1 split is the reason. More than likely, unless we see an earnings warning from DELL, GTW, HWP or and/or CPQ we should see DELL moving past $120 by mid July. The reason I say this is because INTC has done their part to correct the tech market with their earnings warning and all I see is upside for them for the remainder of '97. INTC pretty well determines the direction and momentum of the tech market.
