I do have mspaint, and can do the Print Screen. What a fun thing.

You gave these wonderful, detailed instructions, and i've printed them out, but this is what happens. You wrote:

start\control panel\dial up networking\my connection

this will take you to the 'connect to' dialog. print that...


So I go Start... Settings... Control Panel... Dial Up Networking....

at this point, I see 'Make New Connection' only. When I click on that, I see 'Type a name for the computer you are dialing.'

It says in the slot US Robotics 56k Fax PnP, and if I click Next, it asks for a phone number, though one isn't there.

I never got to the 'dial properties' button, the 'properties' button, the six tabs that say general, networking, security, scripting, multilink and dialing....

I'm wondering if that clickstream would be relevant to my former isp, but not to Optonline cable... Could that be it?
