George I don't know if you monitor the CUBE thread, so in case you missed this: Warning: CUBE specific, stop here if you're touchy about the competition. MVP: A New Way to Use Video on Your PC Introducing the MPEG Video Peripheral c-cube.com There's a section on MPEG2. Also, Cube's MPEG2 single chip is reportedly encoding video now. I don't have the details on specific specs yet, but I know that at a minimum, it's Professional Profile, 4:2:2... Perhaps you can get a demo of it. I would be interested in your findings if you do.
