Why? Why should we do a swap or a JV, I don't get it. Messina was heralded as the golden goose who's eggs were going to subsidize exploration elsewhere. Why give any of that (our futur) away? I don't give a damn about getting a piece of something else in return. We have charted a course and we should stick with it. Management asked for our confidence and support on that principal last year and they had damn well better do what they were voted to do.

If Placer wants to offer shareholders $30 a share to absorb SUF fine, put up your money. But I'll be damned if I'll support another asset dilution because some one got cold feet in the eleventh hour.

Put Messina into production! So what if it takes four or six years to get up to full speed. I've waited this long for a winner and I can wait a little longer.

I will never support any attempt to give that away. The very idea is an affront to all of the shareholders who have stuck it out all these years.

I hope that this is some poster's idea of a joke or rumour mongering. It certainly wasn't mentioned in today's NR and that issue is certainly material.

If that is being considered I would call for a vote on the matter at the AGM and call for a proxy ousting of any management which is pushing it.

We have had enough dithering and changing direction to last a life time over the past four years. Its about God damn time we did what we set out to do. Focus and get on with it.
