Eeeek.
I'm hoping to avoid that, myself.
I read something encouraging on Yahoo news last week - the larger your head, the less likely you are to have age-related mental disability. I have a large head - not to be confused with a swelled head - 24 1/8" circumference. The only reason I know is that when the boys were babies I used to measure their head size and body length and body weight obsessively and kept track of stuff like that.
They are supposed to wind up 6'2", and Ben is almost there already. They both have 24" circumference heads, themselves. I'm only 5'8", and felt like a freak all my life, not able to wear ladies' hats nor ladies' gloves, having a hard time fitting into women's shoes (size 10 1/2). Now that women have gotten taller, it's not so bad, but when I was younger, it was really a pain to find shoes that fit.
Maybe, just maybe, there's a silver lining, and I'll be among the lucky few that stay in my own house until I die. I would love to retire to Florida - my RA doesn't like cold weather. Chris thinks he would like Nova Scotia. Maybe we'll be really lucky and be able to go north in the summer and south in the winter. Wouldn't that be nice? |
