You make it sound like the poor are living in luxury at taxpayers' expense. I don't think that's the case. AFAIK, most of the poor _don't_ have AC -- that's why there are so many stories each summer about them dying of the heat, and why charities hold fan drives. Picture kids playing in the water from fire hydrants to try to cool off; would they bother if they could just sit in front of the AC? Charles Tutt (TM)
