Don't play games. You insinuated that I was a pedophile. It was only then that I referred to you as a jackass. How could a rational person disagree with my right to do so?

Even on the internet there are rules of conduct that define the character, the maturity, and the emotional health of the participants. To attempt to salvage a weak argument by launching a personal attack--an attack based on slander and the gratuitous suggestion of pedophilia--this is beyond any standard of decency or fair play.

You have chosen to remove yourself from the mores of respectable company, and I think you have properly recognized that your public display of indecency is not one that went unobserved--nor can it be forgotten or laughed away. You blew it.

I appreciate that your position was untenable as being based on a private agenda, and an abundance of resentment and pique. Nevertheless, this justifies none of the shameful tactics you employed to soothe your own unhealthy ego. I sincerely hope you have learned something from your shame; as well, from your self-reproach. Listen to your conscience.

In the meantime (beyond learning the lesson)--I do not wish you to discredit yourself unduly, nor to feel you are being stared at. Yesterday was yesterday. Today is today. If you are able to conduct yourself as a gentleman, I wish you only the best. Just look me in the eye when you speak to me, and don't shuffle. Now go take on the day...
