Clinton started with 8% unemployment and left with 4%.



The Bush recession wasn't nasty, it lasted only 6 months. It was caused by his ill-advised tax increase. It was over a year before Clinton took office.

Without Bush's tax hike, the deficit in 1992 would have been over $400 billion.

If the recession was over in 1991, why was unemployment at Clinton's inauguration 8%?
