Given that that article (http://biz.yahoo.com/rf/010503/n0369904.html) claims that the currently RDRAM costs 40% more than SDRAM, it's understandable that you might want to take that particular prediction lightly. Rambus (NasdaqNM:RMBS - news) believes that by year end, RDRAM chips will only cost 20 percent more than SDRAM chips,down from a current price differential of 40 percent, Rambus's Chief Financial Officer Gary Harmon told investors here at the JP MorganH&Q Technology conference. Those bus people, always good for a chuckle or two.
