LOL...i sometimes have similar paranoia episodes...in the end, the fundamentals will win out though. WS 'analysts' are currently at odds with most corporate managements, who generally do not sound upbeat at all. that's in stark contrast to earnings estimates further out...they're still extremely optimistic, assuming the downturn is but a temporary hicc-up. the adjustment of these expectations, coupled with future reductions in currently record high equity allocations will likely do the market in. tomorrow's unenjoyment report will be interesting...my hunch is it'll be both weak AND inflationary.
