Jumper: Those don't sound like unreasonable requests for a software company. Stock options is a good way to attract and retain quality folks. Assuming that's what they're going to use them for.

From what I've been reading on the Yahoo board, it sounds like the R&D employees, and possibly others in the techie end of the business, have been shafted. Of course, that's just one side of the story. Developers will *always* think they have built the greatest technology in the world. It's part of their personality makeup. If they don't think that, they shouldn't be in a fast paced competitive business like software where success is defined as whatever features the other guy has, plus some more goodies, and it all runs faster and is easier to use and maintain. Piece of cake, right?

The problem with a lot of management is that they can't relate to the techie mind. That's understandable, because there are some "interesting" individuals in the software development business. It takes a special kind of person to get satisfaction out of communicating with an inanimate object all day long.

Anyway, I'm curious as to what else the Proxy has to offer. I should get mine in a few days when the Pony Express makes their weekly run through the high desert of Northern Arizona.
