As cellular and wireless infrastructure is deployed to build a network, PLDs are employed more so there than in the phones themselves. Here's a link to the Xilinx website, which lists Nokia and Ericsson as prime customers: www.xilinx.com xilinx.com ...I also found a bunch of references to "cellular" with respect to applications of Xilinx technology, using the search facility on the website. Dan *** You said: Dan, what PLD's have to do with cheap mass-market cellular phones? They use GaAs RF stage, and a dedicated/specialized chip for everything else.
