Southwestern Announces a $3 Million Private Placement Financing biz.yahoo.com This announcement seems to have given SWG stock an assist in its slide towards $2.50. My surmise is that the company had a long-term (beneficial???) investor lined up and preferred a private placement rather than flooding the market with shares, but many (185,000 shares) took this as a signal to sell today. My further thought was that acquisition, exploration, and development in anticipation of an upturn in the resources sector showed management as bullish on their own business, in which they have a sizeable stake. I find these prices increasingly attractive. Will they get better still? Are there negatives? Comments?
