Hi Patricia, You've probably already checked this, but you might be running a non-optimal refresh rate. Right click the desktop, go to properties->settings->advanced->adapter. I stay away from optimal and default since Windows is abysmal at getting them right. I always set the rate manually for each color depth and screen area that I use. If there is no numeric choice for refresh then windows is probably using a generic adapter or monitor setting. I always get out the manual for the monitor and look at the factory presets for 640, 800, 1024, 1280, etc. Usually they are on the order of 72, 85, 85, 75, etc. I have found that using the factory settings has been easy on the eyes and the monitors last a lot longer than when those rates are exceeded.
