leaps = long term options. in this case they expire sometime in 1999. i doubt this caused a 20% drop in xlnx. i really doubt it. somebody wanted out bad and there were no buyers to support this exit. it doesn't seem unreasonable that the onslought is over for now. but, if it continues into tomorrow then there is something really wrong (or right if you have a put position like me ;-) altr was up and xlnx was down almost $2...
