Now that AVCC has sold its retail auto parts subsidiary, it's a pure play on silicon wafers. As such, it seems to me its undervaluation should soon become more apparent to investors (or even to someone considering a buyout).
My calculation shows AVCC's market cap at about $8.5-$9 million. Recticon (the wafer subsidiary) was valued at $13.9 million alone in AVCC's 1996 year-end 10K. My guess is they got about $2.5 million from the retail auto part sale. Add up the numbers and AVCC's stock price at $1.5-1.625 doesn't make sense.
Any comments?
