11:08 ET Cree (CREE) 22.38 +0.33: Hearing that Cree was added to the Gilder list in his Power Report -- this is separate from the Gilder Technology Report, which is not expected to be released for at least another week.




11:06 ET Nasdaq Composite : -- Technical -- Vacillating near the highs and in position to quickly test a solid resistance barrier in the 2160/2165 area (retracement/congestion). May have some difficulty initially near this area given the extensive intraday turnaround but the pattern of the reversal suggests that a late morning/midday pullback will likely be a temporary development. Next resistance is at 2180.




11:02 ET Kmart Corp (KM) 10.50 -0.16 (-1.5%): Company names Jeffrey N. Boyer to CFO post, replacing Martin E. Welch, who has elected to take early retirement, effective immediately.




11:00 ET Cisco Systems (CSCO) 19.42 +0.76: -- Update -- Hearing trading floor rumors of a Cisco stock buyback announcement, which has helped lift the stock out of the red this morning; recall that CEO Chambers said back on March 12 that Cisco would consider share repurchases (the company denied that the next day, but then retracted the denial).
