For the first time, I am hearing aggressive advertising of HDTV on the radio. I argued with one person who thought we didn't need it and pointed out that both his father and I argued some 25 yrs ago, no one needed car airconditioning. In addition, an article in the NY Times pointed out that both SONY and MS will vie heavily for the playstation market. The article stated that they were determined to expand the market. Pentium lll's will be used in the MS X-station (I believe). Both digital radio and navigational devices are increasing sales. In fact, navigational devices are standard in some luxury cars.Finally, both the new pentium 4's , being heavily discounted, and the new version of Windows, which I hear good things about, may stimulate an upsurge in computer sales. To me, it is not as bleak as I thought a month ago. fred
