Can't one up that, but I just checked. The first time I bought Cisco was back in 1996 and I traded in and out of it, stupidly. Then I got religion and I bought my first shares that I went long on, on 2/18/97 at approx $7.083 (hard to calculated exactly due to splits). I still have some of those shares. :) So I've almost tripled my money on those shares in 4 years. Most of you probably think tripling your money in 4 years sux, but since I've been around awhile, I still think that's a phenomenal return. I still think it pays to buy and hold.
