The liberal evolution:

The liberals NEVER cared a lick about the national debt (a statistic as poorly understood as any concept in economics ever could be) until they perceived they could use is as a weapon against their opponents. Far too many economically illiterate Republicans, like Pete Dominechi and Bob Dole, have leaned into this punch enough that the liberals keep throwing it.

But the interesting thing is the liberals no more care about debt today than they did in 1979. That means that they have become better liars.

Now which president did they learn effective lying from?...
