Never mind that the Miami Herald, Knight Ridder and USA Today did extensive research and recounts and disagree with you.

Glad to see that Old Man... All three Republican Papers that donated copiously to the Bush campaign, and have a lot to gain by being on his inside track, discover that he was the winner. Wow *** Remarkable. (Actually all three paper hired some college kids to run through the ballots, and they all shared in the result., not very scientific to say the least)

Here's a Mantra the Bush people are insisting on that will surely get him to be a one term President.

l) Arsenic in drinking water is harmful only in some states

2) Drilling in Alaska is OK if we rename it the EXXON Wildlife Refuge

3) We (that being the military, the defense contractors, and the Republican Congressmen in certain districts) need the missile defense shield.

4) Taxes cuts are fine as long as they impact only the wealthiest Americans. (Has Gates been over the White House Lately?)

6) Abortion rights should be reversed because it show a lack of family planning. (RU 24 may make this a non issue)

7) Everything will be OK if we put prayers back in the schools. I taught in the inner city schools in Detroit. I prayed everyday that I would leave unharmed. Just the thought of my 11th and 12th grades praying in school would make "Ripley's Believe It or Not", and a whole lot of Detroit papers.

I accept Bush as President, but that does not mean that us Democrats are not going to work twice as effectively to make sure that he has only four years in office.

I think that Bush would do a whole lot better as President if he wasn't being held hostage by the Christian (right) Republicans and those ultra conservative Republicans that are far from the middle of the road.

Clinton and Reagan were re-elected because they knew where the middle of the political road was.

This is not my last post on this subject.

Hey the week-end is here and our portfolios did not get totally trashed because of the unemployment report.

Regards, Jerome
