VSE tip # 1..."don't buy on a tip".

As a resident of Vancouver and active participant in Vancouver's venture capital market, it never ceases to amaze me the general lack of understanding people have towards the VSE.

This market generally consists of stock-promoter scam artists who are in the business of selling stock not building businesses. So when I hear people complain about a bad experience it generally doesn't surprise me nor do I take notice. However, with respects to Ted Carter and PVO, I must interject, the VSE doesn't get much better than this.

Ted Carter, in order to build a reputation and sell subscriptions, must communicate what he believes to be a "real opportunity". If buys before his subscribers - more power to him. What the average investor always ignores w.r.t. the VSE (and other similar exchanges) is that what you should be more concerned with is your "downside" rather than your "upside". As per Mr. Carter, obviously he is protecting his personal downside by lead buying the stock. Let's put it another way: "do you give out a tip on a stock before or after you buy yourself".

Now let us consider PVO. Here is a solid mining exploration company that is trading at $1.10 or thereabouts ($0.10 premium to the break-down value/cash position). I have personally met David Henstridge, and although he is an Australian, and has the temperment of one, he told me prior to the La Bonita drill results that the stock was over-heated ($4.50 range) and if the results were not as bullish as the market believed was hoping the stock could see $1.50.

Remember, the facts are always out there, take the time to investigate for yourself.

VSE tip # 2... "focus on the dowside and the upside will take care of itself". If you get lucky with a stock (1 in 40 mining exploration plays delivery "real results"), great, if not, make sure you aren't going to lose money. Preservation of capital is key to success in this market.

Anyway, forgive any spelling/grammar mistakes, it's late in the day. Give PVO and Ted Carter a little latitude, good luck - because with the VSE that's what you need (if you don't have the inside scoop!).

More tips will follow...at a later date!
