All people need is some food, shelter, and a little sex. Is that the reality of the world? Hardly. Economics teaches us that peoples' wants are endless and resources are limited. People want all of the above and sometimes go into debt to get it - pretty weird eh.<g>

I don't want to appear sexist or offend anyone, but my anecdotal data indicates that women are somewhat less interested. Is that why there are fewer women in high tech or math and sciences?


That is sexist and you are around the wrong women. I hope people not needing anything related to chips is the basis of your investment philosophy.

In fact, when you think about it a little. Some very basic human needs are served by technology - communication springs to mind. Communication and art are enabled by the technolgies you listed. I need to communicate and I love art.
