You're right, Star Wars was viewed as folly which turned out to be correct, but you're wrong about strong resistance toward Minuteman and the B2. Tell me who might launch a missile against us and why... Your crazy captain scenario is just that .....crazy! And why wouldn't a terrorist org. not simple put one in a container ship and sail into one of our harbors....why spend all that money on a missile program and show someone where the thing came from by firing one....it's idiotic.... re:"Try explaining your utopian view of the world to millions of Americans who would die in the event a freak gets hold of one nuclear missile and launches it against our country 20 years from now. " Why wasn't one launched against us during the Cold War? Didn't they have any crazy captains then.??? I have more trouble explaining why our own home grown terrorists blow up buildings and kill babies.....It would be the Tim McVeighs in our country who I worry about getting a nuke. . And our terrorists have a philosophy more like yours, not mine.
