I trade INTC and CSCO, so volume is no problem.

I like to trade on the change in momo so timing a trend
change or swing move would be ideal but not suited for me.
But I must say, I would like to master this style!

Slippage is a reality but more difficult when you don't
get in at the ask and see it slipping. I prefer ignorance :-)
You can definitely see other traders bidding higher. I often
see fills that vary by up to 5 cents quite often.
And it looks like MM are filling at your bid despite orders at an
ask that is lower (ie. they're still screwing us).

BTW, I did try ETrade's new MarketTrader (1 time so not a
good sample set) and I got in on the ask (never done
that with UT2). It was fast. Next week I am going to
us it and see how it performs. Its free too. Its not as
colorful, doesn't have tick trades and only allows one
L2 view but that is sufficient for me.
