The "forced conversion of bonds representing 1/3 of (AMD) long term debts" will dilute the earnings-per-share of all AMD shares. A sudden entrance of a large number of shares for sale cannot help.

Kowarski,

This is already factored in. From the latest quarterly
results: Basic shares = 314,347,000. Diluted = 351,785,000.

While there may be a short term negative impact from bond
holders selling stock, longer term this is a good thing
as AMD's debt load is reduced.
