So, Intel establishes the X86 market, upon which AMD relies for the great majority of their business. The last profitable products AMD had before X86 were, what, 2900 bit slice chips or something? Intel was the pioneer, doing all the legwork and AMD comes in and does a decent business under the X86 umbrella. Intel even got them in the business because they wanted a second source. So, how come so many AMD types hate Intel? Bite off the hand that feeds you fits well here.
