QEX-MSE: I bet there's an expensive lesson to be learned by anyone that bought into this promo since it resumed trading last week. Up to 5.50 last week and back down to 0.39 before being halted again. Essam you might want to use this stock as a textbook case of not getting caught up in hype and checking out a stock's past before jumping in.

I attended the Takla Star (TKR-ASE) AGM here in Edmonton today. They are a very low hype/ non promotional junior with over $10 million cash on hand for over a year now, properties in Voiseys Bay (NDT jv), Bolivia and Peru. I might post more info on the TKR thread if anyone is interested. Trading on low volume at or near it's 52 week low of 1.71 (52 High 11.00).

Sorry, I didn't mean to hype TKR as I don't think it's going anywhere near its 1996 highs anytime soon. They don't have enough drilling scheduled in '97 to base a promotion around but you never know.

PS - I'm sorry to say I was right about Ashton being a great short canidate at anything over 7.00. I didn't short it myself. Never have shorted a stock yet but diamond plays are great for shorting, especially in the early drilling when samples are small and lots of inexperienced investors get caught up in the hype. I learned this the hard way with Kensington (KRT-VSE).
