There is ONE God.
There is ONE souce of all light,
energy and Love.
Put in elemental simplicity . God is light.
Ancient Hindu prayer to God simply goes:
Jhoti , johti , jhoti, jhoti, johti, johhhhti....padiman
or
"light , light , light , light , light , light...I praise thee Lord God of Light"
Even the greatest festival in all India is called
"Diwali" or the Festival of Light !
It is also how in each Temple in India , both very early
in the morning & in every precious evening every day
they do with supreme devotion what is called "Arati.
The beautiful ceremony of Arati is
done all throughout India , in most every Temple
and is known as the sacred Ritual of God's Light....
it is to greet the light of the dawning both in the physical world ,
and the setting of the light of the world
in the dawn of evening throughout
all creation
....it is the bathing in selfless devotion to
purifying and recieving the blessings from God's
light that shines from
within our souls .
Besides the Temples very Hindu and Buddhist has a
shrine and corner of their House
and Business where flowers , incense , and prayers
and offerings are given....all for the blessing's
of God's Light. or
Buddha's Light .
" Christ and God are ONE. We are all made in His image.
We all possess a mind, body and soul along with a free will to make up our own minds as to what we want to conjoin our will to as far as understanding of what's good and true.
Either we chose our way through love of self or His way which is the Love of God.
Christ or Krishna ? Hindu's worship Krishna as :
Your form is difficult to see because of its glaring effulgence, spreading on all sides, like blazing fire or the immeasurable radiance of the sun. Yet I see this glowing form everywhere, adorned with various crowns, clubs and discs.
You are the supreme primal objective. You are the ultimate resting place of all this universe. You are inexhaustible, and You are the oldest. You are the maintainer of the eternal religion, the Personality of Godhead. This is my opinion.
You are without origin, middle or end. Your glory is unlimited. You have numberless arms, and the sun and moon are Your eyes. I see You with blazing fire coming forth from Your mouth, burning this entire universe by Your own radiance.
This vision of Krishna or Rama as the "Savior" and
"Bringer of Love and Light" ...is old Fredrick
far older than Christianity, yet as fresh today
and meaningful in it's essence as it was
several thousand years ago.
" Either we chose our way through love of self or His way which is the Love of God.....We can only be conduits for one or the other: light or darkness. "
To the Hindu there is a word they call "SEVA" , which
is ancient , and is the way in which one loves God
thru selfless service . This is not a blind ritual
but is one of those precepts almost completely
inherent to Hindu thought and their religion.
From Hinduism , you have the original idea of
non-vilence , selfless service , meditation on God's
light , and purification of the self to allow
the God that is your true "Self"
to shine thru.
All is based in compassion and not harming of other
living things , which are themselves part
of God's creation.
Bottom line: Jesus Christ our Lord is Love. "
It is unthinkable for any Guru , Priest or Sage of Hinduism
or Buddhist Priest or Father to ever dream of coming
into a Christian land & or Christian
places of Worship , and begin to preach that his religion , sacred texts, rituals , and Holy visions were
the only truths.
Truth dances within all the atoms of
every being , and in all the 70,000miles
of nervous system linked to the senses
of every human being.
If massive amounts of
new light will come into the world , it will
come because more of us decide to go within
practise Yoga , meditate and make the time
to contempate for ourselves
what is the true nature of God and
his Love of Creation.
Truth begins with devotion and self-study , meditaion
and selfless service . What ever gave you the impression
this began only with Christianity ?
