Lee, just wonder how you can write such long posts.

Would like to add my comments to what you wrote - you are right with the BS regarding "earnings growth" but so what?? AG and the FED are highly irresponsible and in fact they are no different than a "Casa Nostra" operation, even if they believe they are acting within the law. ......... as you wrote redistributed the wealth to his buddies, and then MIGHT be able to get things rolling along and churning smoothly again . and yes made them much richer.

Just remember that taking from the working class to enrich a few is as old as human civilization ........ once it was done trough all kind of levies now trough the financial markets and taxes ..........who support an administration who will always make the rich richer.

Do we have laws that regulate that ? I bet you we have more than needed ........with hefthy punishment and many years in jail ............... but the administration is not enforcing those laws ........ and the laws are wall lowers.

Lee, I can not write lengthily but to put it bluntly EARNINGS DO NOT MATTER, they are misleading any way. CSCO had losses not earnings and the stock kept going up.(I posted that on SI only to get ridiculed)

CashFlow what matters........... but in high tech there is none. For example if I need equipment to manufacture a gizmo and it cost $1 million depreciated in 5 years and make $150 in profit it looks great on paper, but if after 5 years I need to buy a new piece as technology changed and the new piece plus inflation cost 1.5 or 1.6 million I have zipo in cashflow. It is all a mirage which works until the music stops and that is why high tech companies hit the wall this winter but failed to share it with us ............. and CSCO wrote down $2.5 million in inventory or the last 2 years cashflow.

Keep in mind a simple rule - there is collusion and stocks are run up in co-ordinance with the big pension funds insurance companies big mutual funds and banks.

Wen in history multi-billion dollar companies were changing the value of their market cap by 10% to 20% in a few days ??? It was a rare event in the 1980's and before but now with collusion it is all possible.

As to TA ....... another myth to corner the market ................ remember LTCM was all about mathematical formulas trying to predict the market it worked as they were the market until it failed and imploded.

The reason that consolidation in financial industry was so feverish during the last years is very simple to have the power to corner the market ......... be it a small group of stocks a commodity or what ever. As soon as the signs are in all the monkeys are jumping on and the big institution sell slowly into the rally. Fundamentals ???????? get real just give them a nice story and they will pump it day in day out as was with the telecom and Internet "infrastructure" they succeeded so much that even the real guys the actual manufacturers got into it and now they are hurting, but not before top management sold hundreds of million of dollars in stock. Who ? well CSCO, ORCL, SUNW ........ and many more.

Bottom line it is all about dislodging hard earned money from the majority by actual thievery orchestrated by swindlers who go away unpunished.

Very Very simple and sad.
