Dear Patricia, Is you problem that you don't understand the difference between the message and the messenger. The truth is in the message and not in the messenger. There are those who use the message and don't believe in the message and those who really don't ever hear the message but are seduced by the messenger.

Christ was a messenger and his life was witness to the message. Was Christ ever false to his message and if not then it would seem that he is the message. That's the only logic that I see that is recursively true.

All other messengers are just human and have the faults of humans. In my church the Catholic church priests have done evil and even done evil in the name of Christ. But their deeds do not change the truth in the message. They are just human.
