I think there will be plenty of blackouts AND people will pay the high prices also.

Most people up here have cut back on use of electricity.

We are quite conserving in my house but always have been. I grew up in upstate NY where the winters went to -40 and the heating bills were high. Our hot water came from the furnace so we didn't take long showers, etc. I learned to use fans quite effectively. Where I live it always cools down at night even if it's 105 during the day. Our house is well insulated so we just put box fans in the window at night and blow in the cool air. If you shut up the house in the daytime you keep quite comfortable. Plus we have a pool so that helps. My neighbors have adapted my "low cost box fan running at night AC system". The AC isn't necessary.

But, don't you feel sorry for those IRS workers in Fresno who will have to keep their thermostats at 78 all Summer? LOL
