I used to own rental real-estate. I got tired of it. It wasn't large enough to hire a professional manager. And it was too much hassle for me personally. So I sold the units and moved on to the Wall Street rush. But I am still a silent partner in a small shopping strip, which is doing well. If I invest in real estate again, it would be through REITs which pay dividends. I think that would be relatively stress free if one has enough money and diversification. That will be my next step, after I hit it big in disk drives.
