Scumbria, Let me remind you of something, traditionally members of the KKK were Democrats - now they are on the outside of both parties. While I am not too familiar with the Birchers, they seemed to be staunchly anti communist, not racist. My grandfather wasn't allowed to own property in because he wasn't a U.S citizen, and wasn't allowed to become a citizen because he wasn't white (or black). This was a result of policy FAVORED by PROGRESSIVES! Affirmative action was made law, because largely Democratic Public employee unions, helped create hiring rules that resulted, in keeping Blacks and Hispanics from getting good government jobs despite anti discrimination laws.
