Smart Investor,

The new wafer fabs T.I. has put in place cost 1 billion each. Few
semi's can raise this type of cash and leaving nothing for stock
holders damages p/e's. Right or wrong, Tom is betting his rear on these sell-offs to raise the capitol. Most of Junkins (ex-ceo) past executives
have conveniently chose earily retirement for one reason or another.
Gone-- Software development, missles, laptops, and I've been
waiting for deformable mirror video next. They'll probably continue
with the mirrors, but not the t.v.'s. I've seen the demos and nothing
else comes close. It's open to the public if you ever happen to be
in Dallas.
Junkins ran the CEO position as a trio with Mitchell (government)
and although the other name currently escapes me, he's retired.
I'm not sure about Mitchell. Engibeous is a top down egotist. I
think he's headed in the right direction for the future, but too far in time
for me. I dumped all my profit sharing stock upon retirement and went
with intel. Should tell you something about my near term expectations.
I'd be suprised to see good next quarter earnings. They'll do o.k.
in the footsteps of telecommunications and networking, as there is
serious effort in these fields. HDD's I'm not sure about. I was a good
friend of the man they put to open it up. Haven't heard from him since
he took on the project, but like most Mixed Signal designers he's a
4.0. Mixed signal doesn't consider less and today many are Phd's.
They are also the best at reducing turnover. Money talks! Larry
