That is in part why it's so easy to fall into the buzzword trap. It makes people sound like they know what they are talking about, but they really may just want their words to be accepted. The substance behind those words may not matter much.

I think buzzwords evolve in part because of the necessity to be a conformist or to be accepted. The other part is just a shear lack of original thinking or substance.
