Good point. With Etrade (I assume other web brokers do the same) you don't actually send a credit card number over the internet, just the order. The communication is also encrypted. Etrade has a telephone service that is free so long as you make trades (12 minutes free per trade). Works very well, though I personally prefer web trading.

I figured that if anyone got into my account and made an order with my money they couldn't lose money any faster than I do on option trading and would probably do a lot better, maybe even make me money.

Just to stay on topic. Bought Iomega options last week that tripled in value Thursday and Friday and I promply watched them fall yesterday below what I paid. Now where did you say those hackers were?.....
