[tele.com] & lack of amati So if I read this right: In a fair & strict test, Orckit actually have a DMT modem which delivers ~8Mbps Performance actually have modems that draw 4W, reach 7Mbps and reach 19,000ft Aware actually have a DMT modem that draws 5W, 7Mbps and >18,000ft Is that right ? All very impressive. That is a lot more substantial than reports suggested - or demos at trade shows. Looks like DMT is real, looks like CAP is good (Performance). Where was Amati ? Neither real or good ??? They don't have modems for a test? Was there a problem with the test ? Or theycan't spare even one modem ? (delivery hell...?) Aware & Orckit look like BUY. Performance - is it public ? Are all the others the losers ?
